Last winter holidays, my brother Aariv and I made beautiful holiday cards to sell to our neighbors. Now, we are using the money we earned to buy goodies for activity kits for children in the hospital. These kids are not able to go out to play like us because they are being treated, so we hope our small gesture will bring them joy.
On Friday evening, we went to the store with our mom to buy the goodies for kids. Aariv and I bought card games, activity books, and colors. When picking the items, we made sure that they are educational, fun and safe for the kids! We also ordered supplies and puzzle games on Amazon.
Shopping for Goodies
On Saturday, we placed them into six green bags for kids. We also wrote postcards with encouraging messages to light up their faces. We decorated the cards with hearts, rainbows and stars and colored them with bright colors. We neatly wrote our names so the kids know we are cheering for them.
Preparing Activity Bags
The next week after school, our mom took us to the There With Care center so we could drop the bags we prepared. The lady there was super nice! She was so happy to hear our story. The warehouse manager also showed us around. There were so many items there that could be sent to families in need. It was amazing to see so many people donating to help other families.
Donating Activity Bags and Sending Love
We really hope the kids will like the activities we selected for them. We wish they get well soon and we are sending them a lot of love!
